This notice explains what KLEK records, why it is needed, and the choices students and parents have.
Account email and login data; a display name or alias; year group, tier and target grade; diagnostic answers, marks and progress; parent or guardian email when a summary is requested; security and product event logs; and Stripe customer, purchase and subscription identifiers.
Stripe collects and processes card and billing details in its hosted checkout. KLEK receives payment status, amount, customer and subscription identifiers, but does not receive or store full card numbers.
To provide diagnostics, reports, accounts and paid practice; calculate progress and benchmarks; prevent abuse; respond to support and deletion requests; and meet accounting or legal obligations. Marketing is used only where the relevant adult has opted in.
KLEK uses Supabase for accounts and database storage, Vercel to host the service, and Stripe for checkout, subscriptions and billing. Data is shared only as needed for those services or where the law requires it.
KLEK is designed for GCSE students and applies high privacy settings by default. It does not use geolocation or behavioural advertising. A parent or guardian email is requested only for the parent summary flow.
Data is kept only while needed to provide KLEK, protect the service and meet legal obligations. Users or parents can ask to access, correct, export or delete relevant personal data through the KLEK support contact shown on their account or payment receipt.
Benchmark and marketing choices can be declined without losing the free diagnostic. Subscription billing can be managed separately in Stripe billing settings.
